The Tom Walsh 10k race and 5-mile walk is on in Caherconlish/Caherline on Sunday 14th  January 2024. The walk will start at 11am and the race will start at 12.30 pm. A reminder that road/traffic restrictions will be in place before and during the event and you should plan your driving in the area to accommodate delays as well as accomodating those walkers and families along the route. Since the revival of this event, it has grown in strength year on year culminating in over 450 runners from all over Ireland entering this year’s event.


Social Dancing at the Millennium Centre: Saturday 6th January, music The Moynihan Brothers. Saturday 20th Robert Brown from Monaghan.  Dancing from 9pm, Adm. €10


Wednesday Club:  We look forward to welcoming you all back on 17th January 2024 at 2pm. New members are always welcome.


Joker Fundraiser: Next Draw Friday 5th January at 10pm. No  jackpot winner. Jackpot is now €140. The cost of entry is €2.  Winner of €20  Jimmy O Connell.  Thank you all for your continued support.


TOTAL BODY HEALTH: Group exercise classes led by Chartered Physiotherapist; Dr Anne O'Malley will resume Wednesday January 9th. Bookings welcome for standing class at 12 noon & chair-based class for those with reduced mobility at 1.10pm. Focussing on bone health, balance & muscle strengthening. CAHERLINE GAA CLUB LOTTO: No jackpot winner - numbers drawn were 1, 26, 27 & 29. Lucky dip winners were David Casey, Maisie Williams, Martin O'Brien (Online), Kathleen Styles and Kathleen Ryan. Next week’s jackpot will be €15,300 and the draw will be held on Friday night next via Facebook Live. Thank you for your continued support. RIP: Caherline Gaa Club offers our sincere sympathy to our Chairman Brendan Heelan and Irish officer Sandra Heelan on the sad passing of Sandra's father Tommy Deere, R.I.P. Tommy was a great friend to all who were lucky enough to meet him, a true gentleman who had a great interest in all sports and a very proud limerick man. Parish Notes


THE SEASON OF CHRISTMAS continues until the Celebration of the BAPTISM of the LORD on Sunday 7th January 2024. We thank God for the joys and blessings it brings us.


WEEKEND MASS: Saturday at 6.30pm in Caherconlish. Sunday at 10.30am in Caherline.


THIS WEEK MASSES; Tuesday & Thursday 10am in Caherline Church.  Friday 10am in Caherconlish Church.


Follow the STAR to Bethlehem! Both Churches have lovely Cribs & trees and are open daily for people to drop in and say a prayer or light a candle. You are encouraged to visit the Crib – a strong Irish tradition. Bring along your children/ grandchildren to pray and to ponder that God is with us and for us in this new born baby.


“FEAST of the EPIPHANY MASSES: Friday 5th January 10am in Caherconlish.  Saturday 6th in Caherconlish - 11.30am Funeral Mass of Tommy Deere RIP; 2pm Funeral Mass of Joseph Lennon RIP.  Being a Holyday, Church collections will take place at these Masses.


CHRISTMAS BROWN SPECIAL 4 ENVELOPE (SP4) is for the Diocesan Common Fund from which the Priests receive their salaries. Thank you for contributing to the Church Fund through the weekly envelope system.  We ask those making their contributions on a once off annual basis to do so as soon as possible.  


The 2024 BOXES of Envelopes are being distributed to households.  There may be a change to the number on the envelopes from previous years.  If you want a box and didn’t get one contact the Sacristy or fr. Roy. Thanks to everyone who contribute so generously for the upkeep of the parish.
