It is going to be very difficult/ near impossible to manage our usual numbers attending Christmas Eve & Day Masses with everybody’s safety in mind. We do not like turning away anybody, but this virus is not taking a holiday for Christmas! The Parish Pastoral Council meet this Monday to consider options. We ask that if you want to attend Masses over Christmas Eve & Day you might fill in a form at Mass this weekend to aid our managing of numbers. Any suggestions welcome by PPC.
Light your Loving Memory Candle (last week) - if you wish you can put the name of person/family on the candle and place it on the Cross Candelabra (at the back of the Churches). Or you can take your Candle with you and light it at home to remember your beloved family and friends. Candles cost €2 each.
The Annual St Vincent de Paul Collection - Due to Covid 19 the local St Ailbe’s Branch of St Vincent de Paul will not hold a Church-gate Collection this year. If you would like to make a contribution to SVP, please use one of the white envelopes available at the back of both churches. These can be dropped into the Parish Collection Box in the church. All monies received in the parish are used to help people in our local community who are in need of assistance. Each year our group visit families and individuals in this community providing help with food, fuel, and education. We appreciate that many are finding the current situation very difficult and we are very grateful for your ongoing support.
