BRIDIE O'CONNELL: It was with great sadness that we learnt about the passing of Bridie O'Connell R.I.P. last weekend. For many years Bridie looked after the club jerseys and always had them in pristine condition for all the teams. She was a great friend to all who called to collect the jerseys and had a great interest in the result of the game when the jerseys were returned. The club extends our deepest sympathy to her husband Christy, daughter Mary and sons Jim, Ger and Noel and all relatives and friends. U-11 HURLING: Our U-11's took part in an end of year Blitz at UL South Campus Astro last weekend; playing Bruff, Dromin-Athlacca and Claughaun in their group, they put in some great performances to round off the season, very well done to all involved.

Parish Notes

Pope Francis called for a World Day of Prayer for Peace on Friday, 27th October, inviting all Christians and people of other faiths to join him in prayer. The Holy Father also invited people of no faith, but with a heart for peace, to join him as they see fit. Warning against a humanitarian catastrophe, he said, “War does not solve any problems, it only sows death and destruction. It increases hatred, multiplies revenge. War erases the future.”

THIS WEEK in CAHERLINE: 10am Mass Tuesday 31st October (ALL SAINTS EVE) and 10am Mass Thursday 2nd November (ALL SOULS DAY/Uile ata Marbh)."
