PARISH NOTES
HAPPY NEW YEAR - ATHBHLIAIN faoi shéan is faoi mhaise daoibh go leir. We thank all our parishioners for their prayers, support, generosity and encouragement over the last year. We ask for God’s blessings for the New Year of 2026.
THANK YOU: As we celebrate Christmas it is important to recognise the work of so many people who work hard to ensure that our parish can live up to its challenge to serve one another. Saying thank you is an important part of the Christmas experience, and I would like to express, on behalf of the parish, our thanks to all those who contribute, in so many ways, to the life of our parish. Your work, which often goes unseen, is greatly appreciated. Without it, our parish simply couldn’t function. Our Sacristans; our Ministers of the Eucharist; our Readers; those who contribute through the parish Envelopes, Baskets and the online Parish Lotto, those who distribute the Envelope Boxes, those take up the Collections, our Counters & Parish Accounts; our Musicians and singers; our Vincent de Paul; those who take such good care of our grounds; the members of our Parish Pastoral Council, of our Finance Committee; our Safeguarding Group; all those who bring the Eucharist to the sick and Nursing Home; our Baptism Team; the Funeral Ministry Team; those who run the parish Facebook & Webcam; the staffs in our schools; those who prepared the church for Christmas, Easter & other occasions; Adoration groups; Altar Servers, the Communion & Confirmation Core Groups; representatives at the Parish Pastoral St. Ita Meetings; those who take responsibility for the flowers in the church; those who distribute St. Brigid’s Crosses; the Millennium Centre for these parish Notes. As you can see, if it takes a village to raise a child; it takes a huge amount of people to build up a parish. Thank you so much.
