Our Abington Church sisters and brothers were praying for Francis throughout his illness, and they too mourn him. He was loved by ordinary Catholics who saw in him a compassionate pastor who cared about people, especially the poor, the migrants and the marginalized. His legacy is multi-fold such as his stance on the environment and introducing the Synodal process which creates a new way of being Church. Like Vatican II, he has opened windows that are difficult to close. 43 DAYS OF CELEBRATION OF EASTER (“Cáisc”) TO PENTECOST (8th June) remaining!
