A vacancy has arisen for a part time General Operative/Caretaker in the Millennium Centre, Caherconlish, starting immediately.
This position is being offered on a part time, temporary basis for 3 months, with the possibility of it being extended.
The successful candidate will deal with and record clients’ enquiries and bookings, prepare for, supervise and clean up for events, Record receipt of payments. Perform general cleaning and minor maintenance work. The part time role will cover 18 hours per week, including some evening and weekend work. The rate of pay for this position is €13.50 per hour. Further details will be available at interview stage. This is a Pobal Community Services Programme supported position. Please forward application on or before 30th of May. CAHERCONLISH TIDY TOWNS : : Despite the inclement weather a huge amount of work was completed again this week around the village. A big thank you to everyone involved. The unannounced judging for the National Tidy Towns competition will probably take place over the next two weeks. It would be much appreciated if all residents and businesses would ensure that the area is clean, tidy and presentable to all residents and visitors alike, TIDY TOWNS IS NOT ABOUT A COMMITTEE IT IS ABOUT A COMMUNITY. Weather permitting, we will meet again next Tuesday at 7pm in the Square to continue the good work. Please join us. Limerick City and County Council has launched a Shop Front Minor Repairs and Paint Scheme. The grant may be used to improve the external front-facing facade of actively trading commercial shops only, and/or for undertaking minor repair work. The maximum grant is €1,000 per unit or 50% of the cost of the works, whichever is the lesser. Applications from businesses must be made by Friday, 27th June 2025 to Limerick City and County Council. CAHERLINE GAA: CLUB LOTTO No jackpot winner - numbers drawn were 1, 10, 20 & 27 - lucky dip winners were Mary Keogh, Philip & Kathleen Mulready, Maggie Hayes, Tom Carroll (Online) and Eimear & Méabh. Next week’s jackpot will be €8,200 and the draw will be held on Friday night next via Facebook Live. DRAW FOR JACK: In conjunction with Caherconlish National School, we are running a raffle in support of one of their pupils & a member of our U12 panel, Jack Collopy, who was recently diagnosed with Medulloblastoma. Every Euro raised in this raffle will go directly towards Jack's medical care & supporting his family during this incredibly difficult time. We are raffling two tickets for this year’s Munster Hurling Final between Limerick & Cork on June 7th at the TUS Gaelic Grounds, Limerick. COUNTY INTERMEDIATE LEAGUE FINAL: Our County Intermediate league final against Na Piarsaigh has been fixed for Friday June 6th in Bruff, throw-in at 7pm. All support greatly appreciated on the night.
