Update from Cllr Brigid Teefy on the Caherconlish Road Works R513: ROAD NOTICE R513 Caherconlish Tuesday 5th August to Friday 15th August 2025 Limerick City and County Council wish to advise motorists and road users that due to Drainage works,a temporary traffic management operation involving STOP/GO operation will be in place on a section of the R513 Between Newtown Hill to the petrol station. Between 9.00am to 4pm on the above dates.

Duties include providing a social visit to people in their own homes who may be experiencing loneliness through isolation or bereavement. The scheme also provides support to carers giving them time off. The position would suit a person who enjoys talking to people and enjoys company. Applicant must have a good command of the English language and can drive. The position is 19.5 hours per week, and you must be eligible for CE Scheme employment. CAHERCONLISH TIDY TOWNS:   We are delighted to be shortlisted for the Limerick Going for Gold Tidy Towns Category 2025.  This category has a top prize of €10,000 with additional runner up prizes. Voting takes place between the 7th and 14th of August. Please vote for Caherconlish Tidy Towns by Going to the Limerick Going for Gold page on the Live 95 website. Vote for us by clicking in the vote box beside our name. Voting starts on the 7th of August at 12 noon and finishes on the 14th of August at 12 noon. CAHERCONLISH/ CAHERLINE ANNUAL Mass in Inch Saint LAWRENCE Cemetery takes place on Friday August 8th at 7.30pm.  At this Annual Mass a list of our Parishioners who have died in the last year is read out and remembered.  If you have a loved one who has died from outside our Parish since last August 2024, and is buried in any of our Parish Cemeteries, you are most welcome to have them included in the list read out at this Mass.  Please contact the Secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council, Phil Martin on 087 1363747 by Friday August 1st.
