Notice of AGM: Caherconlish Caherline Community Council will hold their 2025 AGM on Tuesday October 13th at 8pm in the Millennium Centre , Caherconlish. All members of the community are welcome and encouraged to attend, to hear about how 2025 went for the Millennium Centre. Anyone interested in becoming a trustee or a volunteer is also encouraged to attend - even if you only have one hour a month, any help is appreciated.

CAHERLINE GAA: CLUB LOTTO: No jackpot winner - numbers drawn were 3, 4, 7, 18 - lucky dip winners were Liam Carroll, Aoibhean Seoighe (Online), Trisha Daly (Online), Julie Madden (Online) and Pat Kennedy (Online). Next week’s jackpot will be €9,000 and the draw will be held on Friday night next via Facebook Live. FIXTURES: Our final round in this year’s Woodlands House Hotel County Premier Junior A Hurling Championship against Drom-Broadford will take place this Sunday September 20th at 5pm in Kilmallock - all three round 5 fixtures will take place at the same time, still a lot to play for in the group. Our Junior C lads will also play this weekend away to Murroe-Boher, details yet to be confirmed by the County Board. Then the following weekend, we'll end the campaign away to Croom, currently fixed for the 27th at 5pm. U21 HURLING: Fixtures were released recently, provisional for now, a lot can change - we're in a group with Dromin-Athlacca, Southside Gaels, Tory Gaels & Knockaderry, games to get underway in early October.

Pope John Paul II Awards: This scheme offers young people a wonderful opportunity to put their Faith into Action during 2026/27, through service of their parish, school and wider community. This project will run in several post-primary schools in our diocese. Each parish is asked to identify a contact person to support the local participants. Could s/he be you?!

"What does God want from the Church in Ireland at this time?" The Irish National SYNODAL Assembly will take place on Saturday 17th October 2026. On that day, delegates from every diocese across the country will gather in County Meath to consider proposals, engage in communal discernment, and make practical recommendations for the Catholic Church in Ireland. As it draws near, let’s keep this in the forefront of our prayers!
