Millennium Centre playground The playground will be open every day from 10am to 4.30 pm .Please note the playground will be closed from Thursday 23rd to Monday 28th December.


Caherconlish National School 50/50 draw returns Thursday 7th January 2021 we would like to thank you for your continued support and wish you all a lovely Christmas and New Year.


MEALS ON WHEELS In response to the Covid-19 pandemic the Millennium Centre began our Meals on Wheels service last April. We would like to thank Ian Stapleton (Stone oven Bistro) for setting up a Go Fund Me page to assist the service and to everybody that donated so generously to this page. We would like to thank Limerick Island Community Partners (St Mary's Aid) for providing the meals. We are extremely grateful for the funding we have received from the JP Mc Manus Benevolent Fund, Limerick County Council, The Community Foundation of Ireland, Fr. Seamus Enright and the Limerick Redemptorists Community, Rev Niall Sloane and Limerick City Parish, Hospital Family Resource, Ballyhoura Development and Macra Na Feirme. None of this would have been possible without our Volunteer drivers and the Red Cross who gave and continue to give their time so generously. We would like to wish our customers and volunteers a safe and Happy Christmas.


MILLENNIUM Name Plaque: We are inviting you, your family, your friends and the wider community to help with our future planning by purchasing; a Name Plaque 6” x 4” (150 x 100 mm) for the sum of €100. You will be registered as a lifetime member of the Millennium Sports and Social Club in return for your support. Congratulations to Limerick senior hurlers on winning the All Ireland hurling championship.


CAHERLINE GAA CLUB LOTTO: CLUB LOTTO: No jackpot winner, numbers drawn were 12, 22, 27 & 30. Lucky dip winners were John Franklin, Declan O'Riordan, Christy O'Connell, Paud O'Keefe and John Crehan. Next week's jackpot will be €6,500 and the draw will be held on Friday night via Facebook Live from the Caherline Gaa clubhouse from 9:30pm. As always, we appreciate everyone's support. LIMERICK GAA: Many congratulations to Limerick GAA, becoming All Ireland champions for the 2nd time in three years and performing a clean sweep for 2020. MAIN CLUB AGM: Caherline Gaa main AGM will take place this coming Sunday at 6.30pm. The meeting will take place virtually on Microsoft Teams. CLUB LIMERICK DRAW: The parish did very well last Saturday morning in the Club Limerick Draw, well done to Phyllis Heelan, Breda Enright & Geraldine Casey on their big wins!


CAHERCONLISH GAA FOOTBALL CLUB: The club would like to congratulate Andrew Kearns and the Limerick minor football team on their win over Waterford at the weekend. It was great to see Andrew getting a run and the club would like to wish Andrew and his teammates the very best of luck when take take on Clare. The club would like to wish everyone a happy and safe Christmas and thank you for all your support throughout the year. Happy Christmas to our committee members, coaches, volunteers, and club members, and thank you for all your support throughout the year. Fundraiser We are continuing with our old clothes collection and will hold a collection day in the new year. Once again thanks to everyone that support us.

Christmas Eve (Ticket only) Thursday Caherconlish: 5 p.m. & 7 p.m. Caherline 6pm,


Christmas Day (Ticket only) Friday Caherconlish: 9 a.m.& 11 a.m., Caherline 10am.


If you have not got a ticket for Christmas Eve/Day Masses, consider coming to a Mass during the week before Christmas (Caherline 10am Mon, Tues & Wed), or on one of the twelve days of Christmas up to 6th January. No tickets required for these Masses. There is no obligation to attend Mass on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. Both Churches are open for a visit to the Crib or light a candle. Our thanks to Ryan’s Shop for donating our lovely Christmas tree .

THANK you for sending in your parish envelopes. These can be put in the new safe box on the wall in both Churches


SPECIAL ENVELOPE 3 is for the Missions. SPECIAL ENVELOPE 4 pays the salaries of the priests.


The Annual St Vincent de Paul Collection - If you would like to make a contribution to SVP please use one of the white envelopes available at the back of both churches. These can be dropped into the Parish Collection Box in the church. There will also be blue envelopes available for anyone who would prefer to post a cheque or Postal Order direct to the SVP office in Limerick . There will be collection boxes for change in local shops if you would like to make a contribution when shopping. All donations, no matter how small would be greatly appreciated. All monies received in the parish are used to help people in our local community who are in need of assistance. Each year our group visit families and individuals in this community providing help with food, fuel and education. We appreciate that many are finding the current situation very difficult and we are very grateful for your support.


CAHERCONLISH/CAHERLINE PARISH DEDICATES CHRISTMAS TREES TO OUR LOCAL FRONTLINE WORKERS.

The Christmas Trees in our Churches and in the grounds of the Millennium Centre are dedicated to all Frontline workers from our parish for their work and courage in the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic. The frontline workers are like the lights on our trees – they bring light, healing, uplift and hope to us in the midst of the dark shadows cast by COVID-19 . We can help our community by following their example. Let us look forward to celebrating a Simple Christmas – welcoming the great LIGHT that comes anew into our world
