The Board of Caherconlish Caherline Community Council: We regret to inform everyone that the Millennium Centre will be closed for the foreseeable future while repairs are carried out following the fire . CAHERLINE GAA CLUB LOTTO No jackpot winner - numbers drawn were 9, 12, 13 & 20. Lucky dip winners were Sinead Murphy, Simon O ‘Riordan, Tom Deere, Kit O'Mahoney and Padraig O'Keeffe. Next week’s jackpot will be €3,600 and the draw will be held on Friday night via Facebook Live. As always, we appreciate everyone's support. JUNIOR A CHAMPIONSHIP: Another good win for our Junior A lads last Sunday up in Martinstown, beating Drom-Broadford 4-11 to 1-09. U-19 HURLING: Mungret gave us a walkover on Wednesday night, so we now await the semi-final draw. Already through to the semi-finals are Dromin-Athlacca & Kildimo-Pallaskenry, Glenroe & St Kieran's play on Friday night to fill that last spot. U-13 HURLING: Good win for our U-13's against Crecora-Mainster last Sunday afternoon, one of a few games we'll have in what's being called The Slieve Felim Challenge (also includes Cappamore & Sean Tracey's). Everyone got a good run out during the game, including some of our U-11's who'll be stepping up to U-13 grade next year. Final score in Crecora, Caherline 2-07, Crecora-Manister 1-08. The parish lotto is online, requires no physical contact and is simple and easy to join. To enter you pick 4 numbers or you can use our Quick pick. The draw is every Thursday @ 8pm and our first draw is 14th October 2021 for €500. Match 4 numbers to win our Jackpot and if not won we will draw a weekly winner for a small prize. We hope that the €2 per line option will allow everybody to contribute and if you can contribute €5 for 3 lines it would be hugely appreciated. PARISH ENVELOPES: We thank you for your generosity in returning the weekly/monthly envelopes. Weekly basket collection is replaced by putting offerings in the safe box and box left out during Masses at the end of the Church.
MISSION SUNDAY – 24th October – supporting Missionaries working with struggling afar off communities – Special 3 Orange Envelope at back of box. Or special Mission Envelope at back of Church. Our parish asked to contribute 850 euro.
Caherconlish Football Club Training: Every Tuesday evening 6-30 7-30 pm in the GAA Field. It is very important that everyone completes the Return to play Health Questionnaire which can be accessed at www.foireann.ie this year. It needs to be completed before every training session and match. If you are having issues, please discuss it with the Coaches before training. Fundraiser. We held our clothes collection recently. We would like to Thank all that contributed to it and all that helped out on the day. We will continue to take clothes right through the winter, We take all types of old clothes, shoes and handbags, No Duvets, or Pillows, We also can collect, or you can drop them off to us anytime, just contact a committee member.
