Our lotto tickets can now be purchased online, go to www.lottoraiser.ie/Caherline and follow the instructions. JUNIOR A CHAMPIONSHIP: As you would expect with a winner takes all game, this was a hard, physical game of hurling and thankfully, one we came out on the right side of last Saturday. The first quarter was even enough, we edged it by two points into the first water break 0-05 to 0-03. Crecora-Manister hit the net in the 20th min and kept their noses in front into half time, 1-08 to 0-10. Two quick points at the start of the second half from Kevin Wixted & Jake Kennedy put us back in front and our lads outscored Crecora-Manister 0-09 to 0-05 in that 3rd quarter to lead by 3 points at the second water break 0-19 to 1-13. 3 points is a dangerous lead though, but a goal from Jack Enright in the 18th min of the second half following a goalmouth schmozzle gave us some breathing room, up 1-19 to 1-14. Two more points from each side ensured we kept that gap and took a great & well-deserved win, 1-21 to 1-16. That sets us up for a County Quarter Final against Ballybrown on Sunday in Kilbreedy at 12 noon. TEAM: M Moloney, W O'Keeffe, D Power, S Whelan, N Tierney, D Murnane, D Balfry, Jack Carroll, P Wixted (0-02), James Kennedy (0-02), A Brennan (0-10(6*f, 2*65)), James Enright (0-02), Jake Kennedy (0-02), Jack Enright (1-00), K Wixted (0-03). SUBS: 25mins 2nd half substitution-> off: Kevin Wixted on: David Wixted, E Balfry, M Hogan, C Hickey, C Enright, E Nelligan, S Kenny, Jake Carroll, A Power. U-13 HURLING: Our second game in the Slieve Felim Challenge takes place on Sunday afternoon at 4:30pm in Cappamore, best of luck to all of the players.
