The Board of Caherconlish Caherline Community Council: We regret to inform everyone that the Millennium Centre will be closed for the near future while repairs are carried out following the fire. We are working hard to get it up and running as soon as possible and will keep you updated. Thanks to all who have helped out and for all the offers of help we have received so far.


Millennium Centre playground. The playground will be open every day from 9 am to 5 pm.


Lottery Syndicate Fundraiser for the Millennium Centre: Unfortunately, we have not won big. However, we have decided to reinvest the E126 we have won and keep the lottery syndicate going for another three weeks. Keep your fingers crossed. Daily Million numbers : 2, 7, 10, 30, 33, 35. Lotto numbers: 15, 18, 26, 30, 34, 41 and 6,9, 14, 20, 28, 30. EuroMillions numbers: 5,8,9,18, 35, 7, 11.


Caherconlish Tennis Club : The Tennis Club and grounds are closed for the winter months.


MILLENNIUM Name Plaque now includes a lifetime membership to our Sports & Social Club: We are inviting you, your family, your friends, and the wider community to help with our future planning by purchasing; a Name Plaque 6” x 4” (150 x 100 mm) for the sum of €100. You will be registered as a lifetime member of the Millennium Sports and Social Club in return for your support. CAHERLINE GAA CLUB LOTTO No jackpot winner - numbers drawn were 6, 8, 15 & 20. Lucky dip winners were Daniel Murnane (online), Michelle Nelligan (online), Marie Casey (online), Pat Bourke and Marie Casey (online). Next week's jackpot will be €3,900 and the draw will be held on Friday night via Facebook Live. As always, we appreciate everyone's support. Our lotto tickets can now be purchased online, go to www.lottoraiser.ie/Caherline and follow the instructions. Our Lotto draw will be at the slightly later time of 10pm on Friday night due to the Junior A County Semi-Final in Knocklong. U-21 CHAMPIONSHIP: we took on Tournafulla-Killeedy in the first round of the u21 championship and lost on a score line of 4-18 to 4-14. Next up, we welcome St Kieran's to Caherconlish on Sunday November 7th for a 12-noon throw-in. U-19 CHAMPIONSHIP: We came up against St Kieran's last Monday in our U-19 championship semi-final, St Kieran's taking the win 2-19 to 1-11. FIXTURES: Friday October 29th at 8 pm, we travel to Mick Neville Park to play St Patricks in the County Junior A Hurling Championship Semi Final. On Sunday October 31st, our U-13's welcome Sean Tracey's to Caherconlish, throw-in at 3pm. Best of luck to all players & management this week.

Bishops have asked for a SPECIAL PARISH COLLECTION 6/7th November to support Trocaire in alleviating the humanitarian crisis in East Africa. You might bring along your own envelope & write Trocaire on it & place it in the box at the back of the Church.


Monday 1st November ALL SAINTS DAY/ Aifreann Na Naoimh Uile: Masses 10am Caherline; 7.30pm Caherconlish. Alleluia for saints. They have a certain ‘X’ factor! “It’s something to do with being in a particular kind of relation to God that allows certain things to happen. A saint is somebody who starts a chain reaction of a new way of seeing; the confidence that there’s more to us all than we have suspected”.


Tuesday 2nd November ALL SOULS DAY/ Uile atá Marbh: Masses 10am Caherline & 11am Caherconlish. “This day is set aside for us to come together to praise and thank God for the gift of our loved ones who have gone before us. We gather to offer our prayers for them and to reconnect ourselves with them in a special and universal way“.


WEDNESDAY EVENING MASS 7.30pm 3rd 10th 17th November in Caherconlish.

Thursday 4th November: Mass 10am in Caherline. Friday 5th November: Mass 10am in Caherconlish


Parish List of the Dead. You are invited to submit lists of those family and friends who have died whom you wish to pray for during the month of the Holy Souls - November. We will have special prayers at all Masses during the month. Envelopes and blank sheets are available at the entrance of the churches. We carry on the great tradition of the Celts - the importance of remembering our ancestors. 'The Dead Bless Us' - "I feel that our friends amongst the dead really mind us and look out for us' - John O'Donoghue.


CEMETRIES: There is a great tradition in our Parish of regularly visiting graves. We invite you to join us for Rosary and Prayers at 2.30pm in Caherconlish & 3pm in Inch St Laurence for the first three Sundays of November as we cherish the memories of our dearly deceased. On Sunday 21st prayers in Caherconlish will be in the Old Graveyard. Graves will be blessed after the Rosary on Sunday Nov 7th.


REMEMBRANCE CEREMONY/HOLY SOULS MASS: It’s that time of year again! On Saturday Nov. 6th at the 6.30pm Mass in Caherconlish & Sunday 7th at the 10am Mass in Caherline & 11am Mass in Caherconlish we will remember those who have died since November 2020. During the Mass, their names will be called aloud


Special November Candle Cross Stand will be situated at the back of both Churches for the month of November, cost to purchase €2 each. If you wish you can put the name of the person/family on the candle and place it on the Candelabra or take your candle home with you to light in your own home to remember your beloved family and friends.
