Cllr Brigid Teefy has received the following update on the traffic issues on the Boskill road and the junction coming onto the main road. Limerick City and County Council has recently appointed Clandillon Civil Consulting Engineers to assess the L5094 from its junction with the R513 up to the Boskill junction. The Consultants have been tasked with preparing recommendations to put new and improved pedestrian facilities from the R513 over to the Millennium Centre. They will also assess pedestrian movements at the R513 junction and recommend measures that will assist pedestrians to access the shop etc. Preliminary proposals should be ready early in 2023 and it proposed that these will be put out for public consultation for observations/submissions.

“Preparing the HEART for Christmas” The Limerick Redemptorist Fathers will conduct a special Advent Service, including the sacrament of Confession, in Emly Church this Monday, 12th Dec., at 7.30pm. This event – a good preparation for Christmas – was very popular in the years before Covid-19. People from the surrounding parishes too came in strong numbers to attend. We encourage you to reconnect with it in a fresh way now in 2022. Do invite your families and/or friends to come along to it.

Fr. Seamus Enright, who is well known far and wide as a conductor of retreat and missions – you might remember him from 2019 & 2017 – and Fr. Gerry Moloney, who is a native of Doon, Co. Limerick, and for many years was editor of the popular religious magazine ‘Reality’.
