CAHERCONLISH TIDY TOWNS: We would like to thank everyone who helped to make 2023 another successful year for us. A huge thank you to anyone who gave donations financial and otherwise to help us continue the work to make us all “proud of our place”. To the Management and staff of Limerick City and County Council we say a big thank you for your continued support. We would like to wish everyone a very Happy Christmas and Best Wishes for the New Year ahead.


TOTAL BODY HEALTH: Group exercise classes led by Chartered Physiotherapist, Dr Anne O'Malley will resume Wednesday January 9th. Bookings welcome for standing class at 12 noon & chair-based class for those with reduced mobility at 1.10pm. Focussing on bone health, balance & muscle strengthening. CAHERLINE GAA CLUB LOTTO: No jackpot winner –Numbers drawn were 1, 3, 14 & 20. Lucky dip winners were Christyna Mulcahy (Online), Pat Bourke, Eileen O'Connell, Sarah Foley (Online) and Breda Murphy & John Walsh. Next week’s jackpot will be €15,100 and the draw will be held on Friday night next via Facebook Live. If the jackpot isn't won on Friday night, we will give away €500 in lucky dips, just make sure you have your tickets in! CAHERLINE GAA SOCIAL NIGHT: We would like to sincerely thank everyone for their support of our social night & Christmas raffle last Saturday night - huge thanks also to our sponsors, we can't run these nights without you. Big shout out to our Junior B League winners from earlier this year, who received their medals on the night...congrats to Diarmuid Murnane who won Junior B player of the year, as voted for by the players. Many thanks to Robert Mulcahy for sponsoring that trophy and indeed for hosting us on the night. HAPPY CHRISTMAS: From all at Caherline Gaa, we would like to wish everyone home & abroad a very Happy Christmas. Parish Notes


‏Wishing you all a happy and peace-filled Christmas and an abundance of blessings for 2024.   Special greetings to Caherconlish/ Caherline people all over the World.  It is wonderful that so many are able to come home for Christmas.  The heart of the Christmas story is of a God who has become one of us and wants to help us create peace on planet Earth. We thank all our parishioners for their prayers, support, generosity, and encouragement over the last year. Every blessing from the Parish Pastoral Team, Frs. Pat & Roy.


FOURTH SUNDAY IN ADVENT 23/24th DECEMBER- the lighting of the Fourth candle in the Advent Wreath represents Mary and our preparations for the birth of Christ.


WEEKEND MASS FOR 23/24TH DECEMBER: Saturday at 6.30pm in Caherconlish. Sunday at 10.30am in Caherline.


CELEBRATION OF CHRISTMAS DAY MASSES: Christmas Eve Mass December 24th (Sunday) at 6.30pm in CAHERCONLISH with Music & Congregational singing. If you are not able to be with your family physically at this special time, why not join with them through the Live Stream -:https;//churchcamlive..ie caherconlish,  for this Mass as together we celebrate  the birth of Jesus as the Light of the world.


CHRISTMAS DAY December 25th (Monday) at 10.30am in CAHERLINE with Music & Congregational singing. ADVENT Wreath – White candle lit at Masses for the feast of Christmas – the birth of Jesus as the Light of the world.


Follow the STAR to Bethlehem! Both Churches have lovely Cribs & trees and are open daily for people to drop in and say a prayer or light a candle. You are encouraged to visit the Crib – a strong Irish tradition. Bring along your children/ grandchildren to pray and to ponder that God is with us and for us in this newborn baby.


 WEEKDAY MASS: Friday 29th10am December in Caherconlish.


CHRISTMAS BROWN SPECIAL 4 ENVELOPE (SP4) is for the Diocesan Common Fund from which the Priests receive their salaries. Thank you for contributing to the Church Fund through the weekly envelope system.  We ask those making their contributions on a once off annual basis to do so as soon as possible. 


The 2024 BOXES of Envelopes are being distributed to households.  There may be a change to the number on the envelopes from previous years.  If you want a box and didn’t get one contact the Sacristy or fr. Roy.   Thanks to everyone who contribute so generously for the upkeep of the parish.


ST VINCENT de PAUL COLLECTION – Envelopes available at the back of the Churches, Contribution envelopes may be placed in secure boxes on walls in our churches.


THE SEASON OF CHRISTMAS continues until the Celebration of the BAPTISM of the LORD on Sunday 8th January 2024 and we thank God for the joys and blessings it brings us.


Caherconlish Church open daily 9am to 6pm. Caherline Church open daily 9am to 5pm. Drop in to say a prayer or light a candle for your loved ones.
