FEAST OF OUR LADY OF LOURDES & WORLD DAY OF THE SICK Wednesday 11th February: 10am Mass in Caherconlish. Among Catholics, there’s a strong tradition of lighting a candle when praying in church or at home. Often we will tell a person, “I lit a candle for you” – as an act of prayer asking God’s blessing on them, maybe at a time of their sickness or worry or sadness. Or the lighted candle might be in honour of Our Lady or a favourite saint, asking their heavenly help for us.
ASH WEDNESDAY: 18th February. 10am Mass in Caherconlish.
ADORATION HOUR: Tuesday in Caherline 10.30am; Friday in Caherconlish 10.30am.
FUNERAL MINISTRY: We have an up and running Funeral Ministry Team of four parishioners operating in the Parish for almost a year. For anyone who would like to be part of this Ministry, there will be a Funeral Ministry training in March (possibly Tipperary Town). The training will be led by Fr. Jim Purcell and Jim Rhatigan. The dates are as follows: Thursday, March 5th, Wednesday, March 11th and Wednesday, March 18th. This Training by the above people is regarded as superb. If you are interested even if you don’t commit, contact one of the Team or fr. Roy.
BAPTISM TEAM: We thank our Team who help in the preparation of parents who wish to have their child baptised. We welcome those who want to join the Team. There will be a training session on one of the Saturdays in Lent from 10am to 2.30pm. Leave your name with the Baptism Team or fr. Roy.
