Millennium Centre playground the playground will be open every day from 10am to 5.30 pm. There are restrictions in place that will be reviewed and adjusted going forward. Parents or guardians are required to: To bring their own hand sanitiser for the cleaning of their children’s hands before, and at regular intervals during and after use of the playground equipment. In the absence of such sanitation parents or guardians are requested to refrain from allowing their children use of the equipment. To ensure physical distancing between children. To advise children to avoid touching their face, eyes, nose, and mouth. To ensure children under your care always have regard to the safe use of equipment and to the safety of others. To adhere to the most up to date health advice. Please respect the restrictions in place and we cannot allow unsupervised children i.e., under 18's to be on the grounds and will take steps to ensure compliance.

You will be registered as a lifetime member of the Millennium Sports and Social Club in return for your support. CAHERCONLISH TIDY TOWNS: Team Limerick Clean up, TLC6 is due to take place on Good Friday April 2nd as per Government Covid guidelines at the time. Anyone interested in participating can register on www.teamlimerickcleanup.ie. We are delighted to read that a grant of €700,000 has been allocated for footpath improvement in Caherconlish. Further details on this will be published later. The positive line of communications with the authorities is definitely reaping rewards for the area.

As regards grass cutting at this time of the year The National Biodiversity Centre state the Dandelion is the most beneficial food source for our wild bees. The motto is “don’t mow let it grow”.

CAHERLINE GAA CLUB: LOTTO: Due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation, our club lotto remains suspended for the foreseeable future. RETURN TO TRAINING: The GAA has issued advice to clubs and counties for activities that are permissible and not permissible in 2021 until further notice. Under Level 5 of the plan for living with Covid-19, individual training only is permitted for GAA clubs. Neither adult nor underage teams may train collectively & club games are not permitted.

SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORT MEASURES GRANT: Great news announced last week - the Sustainable Transport Measures Grants have allocated a substantial amount towards footpath works between Caherconlish village and the GAA field. Many thanks to Cllr Brigid Teefy for her support in this matter over the years, great to see it coming to fruition! The start date for the works is unknown, but this is a great step forward.

MEMBERSHIP: Caherline GAA membership for 2021 can now be paid online through the GAA's Foireann website at returntoplay.gaa.ie. This is the same website where the health questionnaires were filled out before training & matches during the latter end of 2020. While we will not be back hurling for a while, membership is necessary for insurance coverage when we do return. If you have not already registered on this system, you will have to register with a username and password and assign Caherline GAA as your club. Once logged in, you will see the membership tab on the left-hand side, click on this and you will see the different membership options available. Click on ‘register’ with the membership option applicable to you; you will be taken to a secure payments link (operated by Stripe) and your payment can be made here by card, directly to the club. Membership for 2021 is as follows:- Adult Player = €40; Adult non-player = €30; U-21 = €30; All U-18's = €20 (Max €50 per family).


Caherconlish National School: The 50 50 draw is postponed for the moment until a time that it is safe to go back to school. We also have postponed our online payments for the moment until we are up and running again. Thanks for all your support, please stay safe at home.

CHURCHES OPEN on SUNDAYS 1OAM to 5PM to drop in, say a prayer, light a candle. A few small bags of Blessed Ashes are available in both churches this First Sunday of Lent.


MASSES during Lent - Masses available every Sunday from the parish during Lent through YouTube, link will be put up on Facebook and through YouTube, check out Caherconlish/Caherline Parish website.


Anniversaries can also be booked for people whose anniversaries occur at this time.


PARISH ENVELOPES: Please contact the Parish Pastoral Council on 087 1363747 if you have not received your annual Church Building Fund envelopes and we can arrange delivery to you while following the government guidelines. Thank you for your generous return of envelopes.


TROCAIRE BOXES 2021 – you can collect your Box in either Church this Sunday & Ash Wednesday 10- 5pm. The Lenten journey of 40 days invites us to think and act for others especially those in dire need in faraway countries. There are many Resources/ Workshops/ Children’s activities provided by Trocaire - https://www.trocaire.org › resources.


Six Reflection evenings, organised by the Irish Institute for Pastoral Studies, on Zoom with Sr Therese Fitzgerald to support you in your Lenten journey. The reflection series will run from 7:30pm to 9pm each Monday for 6 weeks, from Monday 22nd February through to Monday 29th March. A contribution of €15 is requested, covering all six evenings.
