CAHERCONLISH TIDY TOWNS: A great evening’s work was done on Tuesday in the Main St, Square and Barrack Rd areas. Thanks to everyone who joined us. Weather permitting, we will meet again next Tuesday at 7pm to continue the good work. Thanks to Limerick City and County Council for an excellent job at the Church Yard and cemetery entrance. Thanks to Cllr. Brigid Teefy for her co-operation and commitment with this project. We are organising a series of volunteer evenings every Tuesday from 7pm to around 8.30pm. We will meet in The Square at 7pm (weather permitting). The plan is to continue for the months of May, June and July. We have entered the National Tidy Towns and Limerick Going for Gold competitions. We need as much help as possible to continue the good work in keeping our village neat and tidy for residents and visitors alike. We would appreciate any help with weeding, cleaning, sweeping our beautiful vibrant village. Please join us.

CAHERLINE GAA CLUB LOTTO: No jackpot winner - numbers drawn were 14, 16, 18 & 22. MINOR COMPETITION: Our Minor Competition goes ahead on Monday May 6th (May Bank Holiday Monday), games getting underway at 4:30pm. All support greatly appreciated on the day. Caherline v South Liberties/Crecora Manister @ 4:30pm; Ballybricken-Bohermore v Pallasgreen @ 5:30pm; Pa Carey Shield Final @ 6:30pm; Bridie O'Connell Cup Final at 7:30pm. COMMUNITY TALK: Many thanks to all that attended the talk last week in The Millennium Centre; it was a brilliant talk by MyMove Counselling - eye-opening, thought provoking & very well presented by Ciaran, Linda & George. It was very well attended too, with great questions from the floor throughout the night, thank you so much for your engagement. Many thanks to Caherconlish Afc & Caherconlish Football Club for getting behind this event with us. €333 was raised on the night for Pieta House, many thanks for your generous donations. Parish Notes

NEW CHURCH PASSAGEWAY:  The passageway at the side of Caherconlish church leading to the graveyard has now been reopened following the major excavation and re-surfacing work by the team from Limerick County Council. A new rail for the ramp at the church door will be fitted shortly to complete the project. Our thanks and appreciation go to the Council team for the installation of new drains, gullies, sewer and for the excellent quality of the finished job. A special thanks to Councillor Brigid Teefy who has lobbied the Council on our behalf for several years to get this job done

CEMETERY Maintenance:  The former Donoughmore / Knockea / Roxboro Community Association CE Scheme who carried out the cemetery maintenance on behalf of our Parish together with Limerick City and County Council, has ceased operation.

In order to continue to carry these works Limerick City and County Council is seeking with your assistance to form a new burial ground maintenance committee to take over these duties at the following graveyards - Caherconlish, Ballybrood, Inch St. Lawrence & Kilmurry.

You are invited to attend a meeting on Tuesday 14th of May 2024 at 7pm at the Millennium Centre, to discuss same. Brian P Henry SET, Limerick City & County Council will address the meeting.

PADRE PIO PILGRIMAGE 2024: We are happy to announce that devotees of St. Pio will be welcomed back to Holycross Abbey once again for our National Pilgrimage on Sunday 26th May. Ceremonies will begin at 1.30pm with concelebrated Mass at 3pm. All are welcome
