CAHERCONLISH TIDY TOWNS: A great evening’s work was done on Tuesday in the High St and Boher Rd areas. Thanks to everyone who joined us. Some painting tasks were carried out on Wednesday. The plaque on the statue in the Square was also replaced. We would like to thank everyone who helped with this project and special thanks to Joe Marsh Memorials Ballysimon  for his generous donation. Painting and planting will take place over the next two weeks. Weather permitting, we will meet again next Tuesday at 7pm  in the Square to continue the good work.

CAHERLINE GAA CLUB LOTTO: No jackpot winner - numbers drawn were 17, 19, 21 & 27. Annual Boher Charity Cycle – 31 May,  at 7.15pm  We look forward to welcoming you all once again to this fantastic evening of catching up and of course doing a small bit of cycling (40Km with options of a shorter cycle along the usual route) and raising money to enable Cliona's Foundation to continue the great work they do.   We have our Idonate page open and ready to take your donation, https://www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/Bohercycleforcliona you can also donate on the night of the cycle. Sign in from 6.15pm at Boher Community Centre and the Cycle will start at 7.15pm. Refreshments will be served in the community centre after the cycle.


Parish Notes


CEMETERY Maintenance Meeting:  The former Donoughmore / Knockea / Roxboro Community Association CE Scheme who carried out the cemetery maintenance on behalf of our Parish together with Limerick City and County Council, has ceased operation. In order to continue to carry these works Limerick City and County Council is seeking with your assistance to form a new burial ground maintenance committee to take over these duties at the following graveyards - Caherconlish, Ballybrood, Inch St. Lawrence & Kilmurry. You are invited to attend a meeting on Tuesday 14th of May 2024 at 7pm at the Millennium Centre, to discuss same. Brian P Henry SET, Limerick City & County Council will address the meeting.

NEW CHURCH PASSAGEWAY:  The passageway at the side of Caherconlish church leading to the graveyard has now been reopened following the major excavation and re-surfacing work by the team from Limerick County Council. A new rail for the ramp at the church door will be fitted shortly to complete the project. Our thanks and appreciation go to the Council team for the installation of new drains, gullies, sewer and for the excellent quality of the finished job. A special thanks to Councillor Brigid Teefy who has lobbied the Council on our behalf for several years to get this job done

PADRE PIO PILGRIMAGE 2024: We are happy to announce that devotees of St. Pio will be welcomed back to Holycross Abbey once again for our National Pilgrimage on Sunday 26th May. Ceremonies will begin at 1.30pm with concelebrated Mass at 3pm. All are welcome.


The Cashel & Emly 50th Archdiocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes 14th to 20th June 2024. Booking forms in Sacristy.
