The Millennium Centre, Caherconlish has full catering facilities for up to 200 people and can cater for all types of family and business occasions. We can tailor our menu to suit your budget and requirements. If you have a family event coming up, for example, a wedding, christening, birthday, or a business event such as meetings, team building sessions, networking events or award ceremonies, why not contact us and make an appointment to meet with a member of our team. SAVE OUR POST OFFICE: Thank you to all those who campaigned for An Post to seek a new contractor to manage the Caherconlish Post Office. The news that we have been waiting for has been announced that on 6th July 2022 Caherconlish Post Office will have new management. Kitsy can now enjoy her well-earned retirement after over forty years of excellent service to our Community.

The Caherconlish Caherline Community Council are seeking volunteers for the following roles.

1. Kitchen assistants for functions

2. Tennis Club subcommittee to support the proposed developments and operations of the club

3. A party MC/Entertainer to prepare and manage themed parties (could become a paid role)

Wednesday Club 6th July: Bingo at 1pm. Dinner 2pm. Entertainment 2.30- 4.30pm all welcome.

From next week we will take our summer break. For anybody who would like to keep coming, meet up for a chat over a coffee/tea/scone etc. We will be open every Wednesday from 1pm – 4pm.

MILLENNIUM Name Plaque: We are inviting you, your family, your friends, and the wider community to help with our future planning by purchasing; a Name Plaque 6” x 4” (150 x 100 mm) for the sum of €100. You will be registered as a lifetime member of the Millennium Sports and Social Club in return for your support. Caherconlish New Graveyard: Works to Caherconlish Graveyard are substantially complete. There are some snags yet to be completed by the contractor. The Graveyard will be open for the sale of graves within a month. There will be an official opening of the Extension in August/September.

The Annual Mass in Inch Saint Lawrence Cemetery: Friday 5thAugust 7.30pm. The cemeteries in the parish are well maintained. A collection is taken up on the evening to help towards their upkeep.

CAHERLINE GAA CLUB LOTTO: No jackpot winner - numbers drawn were 8, 10, 22 & 26. Lucky dip winners were Martina Leonard, Denise Carroll (Online), Tom Deere, Theresa Murnane and Eamon Balfry Jnr (Online). Next week’s jackpot will be €7,400 and the draw will be held on Friday night via Facebook Live. As always, we appreciate everyone's support. INTERMEDIATE HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP: Details for the first two rounds of this year's County Intermediate Championship have been released - first up, we meet Croom over in Fedamore on Thursday July 28th at 7pm, followed by a meeting with Na Piarsaigh on Sunday August 7th in Claughaun at 7pm. Tickets for these games will be pre-purchase only and will be sold online through the Universe ticketing system...we'll send out the link for each game as they become available. Best of luck to Damien, his management team, and the panel of players. U-19 HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP: Great game of hurling in the opening round of this year's U-19 Championship against St Kieran's. Final score, St Kieran's 2-22, Caherline 3-14. Next up, we travel to Pallasgreen on July 15th at 7:30pm. U-13 HURLING: We travelled to play Dromin-Athlacca-Banogue. It ended up being a game that got away from us….but delighted with the effort of the lads all game. Final score Dromin-Athlacca-Banogue 4-08, Caherline 2-06.
