Parish Notes

CAHERCONLISH/CAHERLINE PARISH DEDICATES CHRISTMAS TREES TO OUR LOCAL FRONTLINE WORKERS.

The Christmas Trees in our Churches and in the grounds of the Millennium Centre are dedicated to all Frontline workers from our parish for their work and courage in the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last Tuesday, 24th November, during a private ceremony, following government guidelines, Dr. Margaret Sheehan, our local Doctor, representing all frontline workers, switched on the Christmas Tree Lights in the grounds of the Millennium Centre at the invitation of the Parish Pastoral Council. Dr. Sheehan, together with all healthcare workers, are providing much needed support and help in our community.

The frontline workers are like the lights on our trees – they bring light, healing, up lift and hope to us in the midst of the dark shadows cast by Covid 19. We can help our community by following their example. Let us look forward to celebrating a Simple Christmas – welcoming the great LIGHT that comes anew into our world.
