SAVE OUR POST OFFICE: Over the past two weeks news has broken that An Post is to close the Caherconlish Post Office imminently. Our local Postmistress is retiring after over forty years of excellent service to our Community, and somebody is urgently needed to apply to An Post with a view to taking over the running of Caherconlish Post office. Any persons interested can contact An Post regional office on 091-881315 or email retail.partners@anpost.ie. Completed applications must be received by 5pm on Friday June 10, 2022.

CAHERCONLISH TIDY TOWNS: We have submitted an entry to the Supervalu National Tidy Towns Competition. The un-announced adjudication will take place in the next few weeks. We would urge everyone to make a big effort to keep the area neat, clean, and tidy. We would urge dog walkers to clean up after their dogs. A huge thank you to all the volunteers who participated in the many painting projects In High St, Church Grounds, Main St, The Square and Beechview Gdns. Your help is very much appreciated. Many more projects are planned over the next few weeks. Please see this newsletter for updates. To encourage better food waste recycling for householders Caherconlish Tidy Towns and Limerick City and County Council are delighted to provide 20 FREE food waste recycling kits to the community. The Food Waste Recycling kits are available to collect from the Millennium Centre in Caherconlish from Tuesday7th June 2022. First come first served. The Annual Mass in Inch Saint Lawrence Cemetery: Friday 5thAugust 7.30pm. The cemeteries in the parish are well maintained. A collection is taken up on the evening to help towards their upkeep. We still need your generosity to help maintain these standards for the coming year. Thank you


CAHERLINE GAA CLUB LOTTO: No jackpot winner - numbers drawn were 3, 10, 11 & 26. Lucky dip winners were Declan O'Riordan, Niall O'Connor, Martina Leonard, Tony Collins (Online) and Luke Heelan. Next week’s jackpot will be €7,000 and the draw will be held on Friday night via Facebook Live. As always, we appreciate everyone's support. FIXTURES: Tuesday June 7th, our Intermediates play Doon in the City-East Intermediate Hurling League semi-final in Cappamore, throw-in at 7pm. On Thursday June 9th, our U-13's welcome Pallasgreen to Caherconlish, throw-in there at 7pm. JTBCS COUNTY FINAL: Well, done to Conor O'Dwyer, Sam Casey & Mark Boland, members of the JTBCS Hospital 1st year football panel who won the Limerick Post Primary Schools TUS Sports 1st Year A Football Competition Final on May 27th, defeating Coláiste Ide & Iosef of Abbeyfeale - many congratulations boys. CÚL CAMP 2022: Kellogg's GAA Cúl Camps are back! The camp in Caherline Gaa will take place from Monday June 27th - Friday July 1st from 10.00am to 2.00pm each day.
